Summer Programs

Fun, interactive events for all age groups throughout the summer. Information is posted in the newsletter.

Pumpkin Party

This annual event is a great time for kids (and even parents) to put on their greatest costume and join in the “pumpkin-y” fun in the Family Life Center and Discovery Avenue for games, crafts, treats, and plain old fellowship. The evening will culminate with trick-or-treating down Discovery Avenue. Families are HIGHLY encouraged to sign up for this event. The sign up sheet is located on the Children’s Welcome table near the beginning of October. We request bags of candy to be donated prior to this event which can be left at the Children’s Welcome table.

Family Communion Event

This is a fabulous time for families to come and experience all the elements of communion together. There will be bread baking, stamping, communion elements, story time and special treats. All ages are welcome but the focus is for children Kindergarten – 4th grades. This is also a perfect opportunity for 3rd graders about to receive their Bibles. Due to MEA weekend the date of this event has been changed (from the fall brochure) to Tuesday, October 11 beginning at 6:30 p.m. More information via church school will follow.

Children's Christmas Program

The Children's Christmas program is among many of the traditions at Rosemount United Methodist Church. Children and youth from age three through fourth grade are involved in the production. Children can participate in a speaking role, singing a solo or in groups, or by being on the technical crew. The program is designed to teach the children some traditional Christmas hymns and allows them to learn that the Christmas holiday is about the birth of Jesus Christ, our Savior.
